Shell monopile contracts for Astava. In succession of the monopiles Cutter and K17A executed in 2005, Astava was awarded the full instrumentation package for another 4 units of monopiles.

The monopiles are an innovative and unique concept. The substructure consists of a single 4.2 m diameter pile, with the pile head just above the seabed, and a 2.5 m diameter monotower grouted inside the monopile. Due to the limited space available the slimline monoflange solutions offered by Astava, match the demand for compact instrument hook-up solution with minimized potential leakage points. The slimline monoflanges are supplied including insulated housings. As a result process temperature is applied as heating without additional electrical heaters.
