Shell approves Astava slimline globe valves within TAMAP.
Product: Slimline Globe Valves. Another chapter has been added into the development and supplying relation between SHELL and Astava. Different SHELL opco's are using Astava products for a wide range of products. Now Astava is selected by Nigeria LNG and engineering corporation Akerkvaerner for the supply of slimline globe valves needle type. This range of products combines the piping valve and instrumentation valves into one component. This component is in accordance with as well piping as instrumentation requirements. The primary isolate is a bolted bonnet, with OS&Y and fire safe in accordance with BS 6755 part 2. Secondary valves are supplied with dust ring and metal to metal seat. Part of the requirements was a complete TAT (type approval test) guided and witnessed by SHELL GLOBAL SOLUTIONS (SGS). The products approved for the project contained the following MESC-range of products: 77.33.91.xxx.x
Test where executed at Astava premises in Meppel, The Netherlands and by a specialised test facility with the following guidelines from SGS in accordance with SPE 77/312 Fugitive Emmission Type Approval Test: - leakage rate B
- mechanical cycles 100
- test temperatures -50 Degr. C.
- 0 Degr. C.
- +200 Degr. C.
Outcome of the tests are evaluated by Shell Global Solutions and as a result Astava is registered within TAMAP for the supply of slimline globe valves needle type. For the test report information:
